ABOUT WE
An all-inclusive J'ouvert band, on the road out of Port of Spain since 2018.
WE J'ouvert is an all-inclusive J'ouvert band for Trinidad Carnival, based in Port of Spain. J'ouvert is the paint, powder, mud and soca street party that opens Carnival before dawn on Carnival Monday — and it is, for a lot of masqueraders, the best morning of the entire year.
The band has been on the road since 2018 and has moved more than 5,000 masqueraders, with people flying in from more than 14 countries to play. One price covers everything on the road, so nobody carries cash and nobody spends the morning looking for a drink, a washroom or a way home.
